The vast majority of air cleaning/purification options available today are based on the concept of trapping airborne pathogens in a filter (as in the case of HEPA filtration) or otherwise inactivating the pathogens over an extended period of time.
CerroZone, however, is specifically designed to kill or inactivate viruses, bacteria and other pathogens immediately. As an example, in independent laboratory testing, CerroZone recorded a 99.99%+ reduction of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) virus in a single-pass, in just 1.2 seconds! Harnessing the natural power of ozone.
Ozone (O3), composed of three oxygen atoms, is a highly reactive form of oxygen that damages living cells that come in contact with it. Ozone is formed and decays naturally in the upper atmosphere due to the UV light from the sun, and can also be generated artificially. Ozone is a powerful disinfectant which is commonly used to eliminate microorganisms in water treatment, food manufacturing and many other applications.
But no one has been able to harness the disinfecting power of ozone to eradicate airborne threats – in an efficient, continuous and safe manner – until now.
How it Works
CerroZone’s revolutionary, proprietary, patent-pending technology pulls air into the unit and subjects it to a series of ultraviolet light sources, which convert the oxygen (O2) in the air into ozone (O3). The newly created ozone destroys any microorganisms in the air and is then forced through a proprietary catalyst that converts the ozone back into oxygen, which is then reintroduced into the room as clean, fresh air. The system is designed to run continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing constant protection for anyone in the room. Our mobile unit delivers up to 310 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of purified air, while our mini unit provides up to 180 CFM.
